1.)When you sign a Maverick Media Group contract, you agree (or "warrant") that the work you are publishing is your own and/or that you have requested and obtained permission for excerpts, illustrations or graphics that are copyrighted by another party. You also agree that your manuscript doesn't infringe upon copyrights or trademark rights, that it doesn't violate the privacy rights or publicity rights of any other people and that it isn't defamatory or obscene. These warranties are standard in all of our publishing agreements.
2.) In publishing, the "warranties" clause is always followed by an "indemnities" clause. When you sign our contract, you agree that, should someone claim infringement, defamation or injury of any kind, you will take responsibility for lawsuits, claims or monetary damages: Maverick Media Group nor its parent company Diverse Services, Inc. will not take responsibility for and fraudulent, stolen,copyrighted or otherwise suspect work that you submit to us as your own.
3.) If your book contains defamatory statements or infringes on another person's copyrighted work you, the author shall hold harmless the publisher for any issues arising from the submitted material. By signing a contract with Maverick Media Group you are agreeing to these terms.
